Welcome to the 4th GFTEAM Open - Summer Championships 2014
This is small competition is great for beginners to experience a competition environment and also for seasoned competitors as a warm up for the bigger events.
This event is organized by GF Team but is open to everyone regardless of team.
GI DIVISIONS ONLY
Age Classes:
Mixed kids and Juniors: 5 - 12 yrs old
Mixed Teen: 13 - 15 yrs old
Mixed Juvenile: 16 - 17 yrs old
Adults: 18 - 29 yrs old
Masters: 30 yrs old and above
Male and Female classes (Adults and Masters)
Gi Belt divisions: White, Blue, Purple and Brown/Black
Weight Classes (weigh ins without gi):
MIXED KIDS, JUNIORS, TEEN:
It will be mixed up according to the approximate weight, belts and age in agreement with the coaches.
MIXED JUVENILE:
-60kg / +60kg
MALE ADULTS AND MASTERS:
-65kg / -75kg / -85kg / -95kg / +95kg / Absolute lightweight -80kg / Absolute heavyweight +80kg
FEMALE ADULTS AND MASTERS:
-55kg -65kg -70kg and Open Class
Time for the fights:
Kids, Teen and Juniors: 4 min.
Juvenile and Masters: 5 min.
Adults: 6 min.
Rules: under IBJJF (excepting for the weight classes and time for the fights) - http://ibjjf.org/rules/
Weigh-in for everyone: 9-10am
Rules Meeting: 10am (all competitors must attend)
Competition Schedule will be released on the 21st of June.
Competitors List will be posted on the 16th of June.
Medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and certificates of participation to all competitors.
COSTS - DIVISIONS:
Pre-booking ONLY!
£20 per person
Registration ends 20th of June (Friday) - no registration possible on the event day.
COSTS - ABSOLUTE CLASSES:
Booking on event days ONLY!
£10 absolute - no pre-booking is possible for the absolute classes.
NOTE: To sign up for the absolute classes, you MUST also pre-book for the weight-classes.
You cannot sign up for absolute class only.
Cash Prize (consisting of all entry fees paid for the absolute division) will be awarded to the winner.
